T The ps87 spirit box is another wonderful piece of gear that any ghost hunter should have. the spirit box had been used on popular shows like ghost adventures and haunted collector. the spirit box is basically a radio that can " sweep " both AM and FM radio frequencies at about 4 frequencies per second. it allows you to sweep forward of in reverse. the advantage of using this type of device rather then a digital recorder is that it allows you to do a evp session and get " real time " responses.meaning you could actually have a real conversation with a spirit.the reason why the device is so effective is that it is continuously scanning  so there is little to no chance of radio interference  that can be mistaken for a response. this device allows allows the spirit to talk in their own voice. the way that this device woks is that when it is scanning it is producing what is called "white noise" which helps let the spirit talk and communicate. what gets us our best result while using this is sweeping on am in reverse. other teams that use this may get their best results using other setting. so there really is no right or wrong way to use this . i would just recommend not to leave it on one frequency
